Miloš Vystrčil - President, Senate of Parliament of the Czech Republic

Miloš Vystrčil is the President of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. He joined politics after the Velvet Revolution. He successively held the position of municipal representative, mayor, regional governor and senator, until he became the second highest constitutional official of the Czech Republic. As a former mathematics and physics teacher, he is interested in the environment and energy. In recent years, he has been involved in the field of foreign policy and human rights

Zdeněk Horák - Rector, College of Polytechnics Jihlava

Professor Zdenek Horak, PhD., is the rector of the College of Polytechnics Jihlava, he is a forensic expert in the fields of Forensic Biomechanics and the Technical State of Implantable Medical Devices. Specialist in forensic biomechanics, human biomechanics and the design of implantable medical devices. Applicant and co-applicant of national and international grant projects. Committee member of the Czech Society for Biomechanics, board member of the CZECHIMPLANT cluster, member of the European Society of Biomechanics and the International Society of Biomechanics. He publishes in scientific journals and presents at international scientific congresses.

Milena Králíčková - Rector, Charles University Prague

Professor Milena Králíčková, MD, PhD., has been the rector of Charles University since 1 February 2022. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Plzeň, and spent a year in the USA thanks to a Fulbright Commission at the Reproductive Endocrine Unit of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard University. After completing her Ph.D., she worked at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of the University Hospital in Plzeň in the field of gynaecology and obstetrics, embryology scientific work and also taught at the Institute of Histology and Embryology. Subsequently, she worked at the Faculty of Medicine in Plzeň as the Vice-Dean for Development and Head of one of the two research programmes of the Biomedical Centre in Plzeň. In 2013, Králíčková became the Vice-Rector for Education at Charles University, a position she held until 2022. She has 92 scientific papers , WoS citations 1716, h-index 22. She enjoys spending time with her family, daughters and husband, preferably playing sports, traveling, attending concerts or the theatre.

Bohuslav Svoboda - Mayor of Prague

Dr Bohuslav Svoboda has been the Mayor of the City of Prague since February 2023, having also held this post in the years 2010–2013. He is a member of ODS. Since 2013 he has also been a deputy in the Parliament of the Czech Republic, where he currently sits on the Committee for Health Care (until recently also chairing it). He has had a long medical career in the field of gynaecology and obstetrics, working for example at both the Královské Vinohrady Faculty Hospital and the Military University Hospital, where he still works occasionally.

Petr Widimský - Dean, Third Faculty of Medicine, Charles University Prague

Professor Petr Widimský, MD, DrSc., is the dean of the 3rd Medical Faculty of Charles University for the period 2018-2026. His medical specialty is cardiologist and he is the head physician of the Cardiocenter of the FNKV and the 3rd Medical Faculty of Charles University. In the past, he served as vice president of the European Society of Cardiology and president of the Czech Society of Cardiology. He has published more than 600 scientific papers, WoS citations over 70,000, h-index 100.
